Projects from Ratner Museum
- Installation of first 7 bronzes in our beautiful, new Sculpture Garden
- Installation of first 2 sculptures in The Ratner Sculpture Garden of Suburban Hospital. The Sculptures are our gift. Funds already raised through The Sculpture Garden are $250,000 for the Hospital Foundation.
- A Vatican Exhibition of 15 paintings and a gift of one sculpture
- 10’ sculpture, “Zodiac,” to be gifted to the city of Bethesda.
- 15’ high entrance arch to the museum from the theme of “Genesis”.
- 10 banners created as a participatory project to celebrate the Maccabi Games of 2004 involving many young people. Installed permanently at JCC of great Washington.
- Phillip Ratner’s 5 bronzes at The Statue of Liberty and 8 sculptures at Ellis Island (installed 1982) restored to the original patina for the reopening of The Statue of Liberty in August, 2004.
- Eight new works on canvas on the themes of Kabbalah completed this year.
- Sculpture of “Merlin” for the lobby of BAPA’s (Bethesda Academy for the Performing Arts) Imagination Stage.
- Major project with Bob Cohen entitled, “I.M.A. Star,” focusing on removing barriers of color between all people. The project is directed at children from 7+ and involves discussion and art activities which will culminate in traveling exhibitions.
